Pharmacological Action: aromatic helps heal bronchial spasms ama pacana topical for sprains antispasmodic carminative digestive K = kapha vata samaka, sothahara, shula hara, krmighana, rakta pitta kopaka, sveda janka; whole plant is bitter, aperient, tonic, emetic, as hot bath emmenagogue; oil is stimulant and counterirritant, antiseptic

Indications (Uses): gas intestinal spasms weak digestion K = chest affections, with camphor efficaciouos embrocation in muscular rheumatism and stiff neck, as poultice good counterirritant, inflammatory and neuralgic affections, abdominal colic, obstinate vomiting.

Contraindications (Cautions): Plaster should never contact skin for more than 10 minutes. Oil not for internal consumption

Constituents: seeds = 25% oil yields an essential oil by action of water K = .3- 1% essential oil. The oil has 40% allyl mustard oil, 50% crotonyl mustard oil, probably some allyl cyanide, and traces of dimethyl sulfide
