Pharmacological Action: astringent, gastric, diuretic, anti-inflammatory, heomstatic, lekhana

Indications (Uses): diarrhea, fever, poor absorption, worms--round and tape, bleeding, vomiting, bleeding, vomiting, nausea with blood, bed wetting, glossitis with ulceration, herpes simplex, stomatitis, inflammation of tongue, obesity, chronic diarrhea, dysentery, diabetes, bronchitis, bonchiectisis, fever of non-specific origin, gingivitis K = decoction of leaves is febrifuge, expectorant, asthmatic complaints, decoction of root bark for intermittent fevers, melancholia, palpitation of heart. Best for subacute or chronic cases of diarrhea and dysentery and in irritation of alimentary canal, decoction of root for intermittent fever, hypochondiasis, melancholia, palpitation of heart. , Powdered pulp 2-4 gr in acute dysentery with griping pain bed wetting, glossitis, stomatitis, glossitis, obesity, diabetes,bronchitis, braonchiectisis,gingivitis

Contraindications (Cautions): none

Constituents: sugar, tannin, volatile oil, bitter principle, ash, balsamic principle, Ash has potassium, sodium comp, phosphates K = leaves contain alkaloid aegelin, alkaloid coumarin aegelinin and marmin, sterol sitosterol, essential oil d-limonene. The fruit contain sugar, tannin. Seeds have bitter fatty oil. The essential oil of fruit contains d-alpha-phellandrene, alloimperatorin, and beta-sitosterol. Heartwood contains a ferroquinoline alkaloid, dictamine, a dihydrofuro coumarin marmasin and beta-sitosterol
