Online Application Procedure

All applicants for our four levels of programs must submit a completed application package in order to secure a place in the class or in order to receive Distance Learning Program (correspondence course) materials.  The full application package includes a completed application form, the signed student agreement, and the $108 application and registration fee ($54 each respectively) in the form of a check or money order made payable to “Medicine Buddha Healing Center” or via our website: www.Ayurveda-California.com using MasterCard or Visa.  (Note: Applications and Registration fees are non-refundable and are not part of the tuition costs.)

Applications for our four levels of programs are accepted year around via the Internet website by clicking on one of the four programs above on the Buy Now button.

Information packages are then e-mailed or “snail mailed” (by U.S. Postal Service) if necessary to those who have already sent in their applications. 

It is common for the class enrollment to reach its capacity before the beginning of the program, which begins in January and September of each year.  For those who are definitely interested in attending, it is becoming more and more important to apply early. Foreign Student Information

All foreign students are welcome to study under the multimedia Ayurveda Distance Learning (Ayurvedic Correspondence Course) method.

We have not applied with the Immigration and Naturalization Service for approval of our programs for attendance by non‑immigrant foreign students and do not plan to in the foreseeable future.  Please note that the M‑1 student visa does not allow the student to work in the United States.  Some students may be eligible to study under a tourist visa.  The prospective foreign student wishing to take In-Person Classroom-based Instructor-Led Learning must discuss this possibility with his or her local U.S. Consulate or Embassy.

Notice of Requirement to Follow Student Conduct Guidelines

The admissions office will not consider an application from a student who has been dismissed from any school for legal, ethical, or moral reasons.

The Ayurveda Healing Arts Institute reserves the right to deny admission to any applicant whom we believe is unable to meet the Student Conduct Guidelines as described on the following five web pages:

And the student and teacher should at least endeavor to follow either the Buddhist 5 Precepts, and/or the Yogic Yama-Niyama and/or Sri Charaka's Ayurvedic Moral Guidelines for Students, unless these wisdom guidelines somehow conflict with their religious beliefs.

Notice of Requirement to Offer Tuition Donation in Full Before Receiving Diploma

To be eligible for a Diploma Certificate in any program, the student must donate the program tuition in full.

Readmission After Lapse in Attendance

Students who have not turned in homework assignments or other research papers to the Institute for more than three trimesters (one year) must apply for readmission by sending in another $54 registration fee and may be required to submit a new application with supporting documentation. Applicants must meet the admissions and degree requirements in effect at the time of readmission, follow the new curriculum, and pay the tuition according to the most current standards. Students seeking readmission should write an application letter for readmission and have all official transcripts from any other Ayurvedic or other institutions attended, during the period not attended, forwarded directly to the admissions office.
